Sources and Fact-Checking Policy
See which sources we prioritize, how claims are checked and how we handle time-sensitive or applicant-specific information.
Last updated: October 5, 2026Primary government material is the preferred evidence for scheme rules, public services, payment stages and administrative procedures.
Source Hierarchy
| Priority | Source Type | Typical Use |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Government orders, gazette material and official guidelines | Eligibility, assistance, construction standards and administrative authority |
| 2 | Official Indiramma Indlu portal and Telangana department pages | Live services, search fields, grievances, contact details and portal functionality |
| 3 | Official district and local-government pages | District implementation, local notices and public-office information |
| 4 | Credible secondary reporting | Context or discovery that should be verified against a primary source |
| 5 | Reader reports and screenshots | Leads that require independent verification and removal of private data |
How Claims Are Checked
For an important factual claim, we look for the issuing authority, publication date, geographic scope and exact subject of the source. We check whether the source describes an application, survey category, selection, sanction, bill or completed payment because those terms are not interchangeable.
Official Portal Checks
Public portal features may be checked against the official Indiramma Indlu website. We do not submit a visitor's private identifiers or access restricted officer services for research.
Numbers, Dates and Lists
Amounts, deadlines, beneficiary counts and district lists should be tied to a dated, identifiable source. We avoid extending a local notice statewide or presenting a review month as a new government deadline.
Applicant-Specific Information
A public source can explain a process but cannot establish a private household's current outcome. Applicant-specific status must be checked through the responsible official service or office.
Conflicting Sources
When reliable sources conflict, we prefer the source with direct authority over the subject and the most applicable date and scope. If uncertainty remains, we describe the conflict rather than inventing certainty.
Source Links and Preservation
Where useful, pages link to the source or identify the relevant order. Government pages can move or disappear, so a broken link does not automatically make the underlying document invalid; however, it should trigger a review.
Report a Source Problem
Email the page URL and better supporting source to contact@indirammaillustatus.com. We assess the report under the Corrections Policy.
